We’re powered by the Sun - Our New Solar Panel System
September 3, 2025

In 2025, we turned our factory roof into a clean energy powerhouse.

With 2,850 monocrystalline solar panels stretching across it, this is one of our boldest steps toward a greener future, and now we’re almost ready to flip the switch.

How did it all come together?

The idea first came up in the years, when COVID slowed down the world and gave us some time to reflect.

We looked at our energy use, the growing climate crisis, and the kind of future we wanted to build, not just for Pacapime, but for the people working here and the next generation.

For a better Future

By 2023, we were sketching plans and imagining what a cleaner, more responsible production could look like.

We spent a year diving deep into research and carefully designing how the panels would live on our roof.

Securing the licenses took another year (patience really is part of sustainability, especially with a project of this size).

In April 2025, the real work began. Bit by bit, panel by panel, our dream took shape.

By the beginning of August, the system was nearly complete, and now we can’t wait to power it up.

What are monocrystalline solar panels?

Monocrystalline panels are the most efficient type of solar technology available today.

They’re made from a single crystal structure of silicon (that’s where the “mono” prefix comes from) that is sliced into thin wafers, allowing electrons to flow more easily and boosting efficiency.

They also last the longest, with a typical lifespan of 25-30 years of effective power generation.

What are the other kinds?

Polycrystalline

Melted silicon crystals

Least expensive

Moderate lifespan

Thin-Film (this can be used on curved surfaces like vehicles or boats)

Variety of materials

Most expensive

Shortest lifespan

So why we choose monocrystalline?

To simply put: more power, less waste, longer life. Exactly what we want in a greener future.

By producing over 1.1 million kWh of clean electricity every year, our solar panels cut an estimated 330-390 tons of CO₂ emissions annually. That’s like taking around 150-170 cars off the road each year, or planting a forest of 6-15 hectares, (up to 150,000 m² of trees) every year

Nearly a quarter of our electricity needs will now come from the sun, making every box we produce lighter on the planet.

And this is just the beginning.

We’re already thinking about expanding the solar system in the future to reduce our footprint step by step.

A Brighter Future for Packaging

We believe every box should carry more than a product, it should carry a message. With solar energy powering our production, we’re proud to offer packaging that’s lighter on the planet.
